The SCRS-212ai loudspeaker provides a dynamic, high output solution for screen or effects channels applications when maximum SPL and impact are required, but space is at a premium.  A derivative of the SCRS-12ai design, the SCRS-212ai utilizes a second matching enclosure employing only the 12-inch woofer found in the main speaker. When mated to the SCRS-12ai, the two enclosures form a powerful dual 12-inch woofer loudspeaker system with low-frequency sensitivity of 96dB and an impressive total power handling spec of 2800 watts.

The new design was achieved by modifying the position of the drivers in the SCRS-12ai to justify the woofer to the top of the enclosure.  This change allows proper positioning of the second woofer when the two enclosures are used in tandem, placing the two low frequency drivers together.  The result is a smooth and detailed presentation of low frequency information with a significant increase in visceral slam, allowing the audience to experience the impact of a broad range of sound effects in a true-to-life manner, thus heightening believability.  In addition, the SCRS-212ai can go loud when needed, achieving high SPL levels with no sense of strain, providing an effortless and non-fatiguing presentation of music and film soundtracks alike.

 At only 7-inches in depth, the shallow enclosure design makes the SCRS-212ai easy to install with minimal build-out.  Integrated pick-points and mounting hardware are supplied to facilitate quick installation, allowing the enclosures to be secured to the surrounding studs.

Developed as part of an integrated digital cinema system, the SCRS-212ai and companion PRO amplifier employ advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for high-resolution frequency response shaping and proprietary boundary effects correction.  As in commercial cinema systems, the SCRS-212ai is tri-amplified to maximize the performance of each driver in the system.  With maximum output exceeding 130dB, it is ideal for use in medium, and large sized rooms where loudspeaker depth limitations may be a concern.
